CANADY, MATTIE JANE
Mattie Jane Canady, 84, of Adams Run, widow of Solomon Canady, died Friday, October 2, 2009 at her residence.
All services private, however, there will be a visitation this afternoon from 3 until 5 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville.
Mrs. Canady was born December 31, 1924, in Summerville, daughter of the late J.M. Murray and Daisy Grooms Murray. She spent her career as a Caretaker for the Elderly and was of Baptist Faith.

Survivors include one son; Solomon Canady, Jr. and his wife Doris Canady of Adams Run, seven grandchildren; Angela Smith, Doris Vickers, Solomon Canady, III, Harry Canady, Jr., Larry Canady, Lora Canady, Mark Canady and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son; Harry Canady, one sister; Kathrine Matthews and one grandchild; Shirley Canady.
