Eve Claire LaCombe, 85, died Friday October 2, 2009 at the Arbors of Bedford. She was born September 28, 1924 in Arlington, MA to the late Cosmos and Anna (Bilafer) Stephaney. She and her late husband retired to their home in Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee where they enjoyed many years together.
Mrs. LaCombe enjoyed gardening, animals, cooking for her family and taking long walks on York Beach with her family and dogs. She had many hobbies and loves in life, but none surpassed that of her family. Spending time with her grandson always brightened her day and brought a smile to her face.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Pamela LaCombe-Connell and her husband Stephen of East Derry, NH, Debra LaCombe and Victoria LaCombe both of Colorado, her cherished grandson, Jacy Connell of East Derry and her caring sister, Fran Litchfield of California. Eve was predeceased by 5 siblings and by the love of her life of nearly 50 years, her husband, Richard LaCombe in 1998.
The funeral services will be held privately in the New Hampshire State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date. The family has asked that donations in memory of Eve directed to the Fisher House Boston, P.O. Box 230, South Walpole, MA 02071.
