WORCESTER-Jacqueline M. Morgan, 50, of Worcester, died Tuesday, September 29th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her family and friends after a long struggle with breast cancer and lung disease. She leaves her beloved cat, Mandy; two brothers, Robert and his wife Linda of Vermont and James and his wife Leone of Rutland; her sister, Ruth R. (Cooper) Sargeant and her husband Daniel; and her second family, her many friends at the Marble Street apartments. Her beloved grandmother, Helen Thayer Morgan predeceased her.
Jackie was born in Holden, the daughter of Paul B. Morgan, III and Eleanor (Clemens) Morgan Cooper and lived in the Princeton, Barre area for many years before moving to Worcester. She attended Marian High School in Worcester and was a graduate of Quabbin Regional High School. Jackie was employed for many years as a patient escort for the Department of Radiology at St. Vincent Hospital. She lived a simple but happy life, always doing for others. Jackie enjoyed crafts, traveling, camping and writing poetry. She was a volunteer for many years at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Fall Festival as well as Sacred Heart’s Annual Blessing of the Animals.
The funeral is Tuesday, October 6th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, October 5th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
