Frank J. Maltese, of Pembroke, October 2, 2009. He was 83 years old. Mr. Maltese served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Bunker Hill CV-17. He worked as a salesman for Iron Art, Acorn Manufacturing in Mansfield, and Upper Deck in New Bedford. He was an avid Red Sox fan, and loved to spend time with his family, and friends. He was loved by many.
Best friend and companion to Barbara Maltese. Loving father of Lynn Maltese of Crestview, FL, Kimberly Binder of Pembroke, and the late Debbie Sizemore. Son of the late John and Anna (Cina) Maltese. Brother of Gertrude Pinelli of Stoneham, Mary Kelly of Medford, John Maltese of Braintree, and the late Vincenza Salvaggio, Joseph Maltese, and Matthew Maltese. Cherished grandfather of nine. Mr. Maltese is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:00AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. The funeral service will be preceded by an hour of visitation from 10:00-11:00AM. Internment will be at the Blue Hills cemetery in Braintree.
