Obituary

BRIDGEWATER – Maria Cisaltina (Branquinho) Pereira, wife of the late Manuel Pereira, died at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston on Sept. 30, 2009.
She was 76.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Sousa) Branquinho.
Educated in Portugal, she moved to the area in 1961.
Employed by Rand McNally in Taunton as a bookbinder for over 20 years, she retired in 1998.
She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jose Pereira, his wife Cathy, and their children, Elizabeth, Jillian and Hannah, of Bridgewater; Julio Pereira, his wife Rosemary, and their children, J.R. and Joseph, of Bridgewater; a daughter, Teresa Mastria, her husband Robert, and their children, Robert Jr., Alexandra and Cristina, of Raynham; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased several brothers and sisters.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Oct. 6th at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater at
10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 5th, from 4 to 8 p.m.
