Mr. Phillip S. Ciccia, age 81, died Wednesday August 20, 2003 at the East Village Nursing Home of Lexington, after a brief illness. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Salvatore and Rosalie (Miceli) Ciccia.
Mr. Ciccia worked for 25 years at the Charlestown Navy Yard in the Quality Control Division retiring in 1980. He then went on to work for Polaroid for 6 years as a packer, retiring from there in 1987. Mr. Ciccia also had a pushcart in Haymarket Sq., Boston for many years where he sold candy.
Mr. Ciccia was a longtime Medford resident and served in the Army during World War 2.
Mr. Ciccia is survived by his son Sonny and his wife Karen of Medford, Larry and his wife Carol of Malden, his daughter Phyllis Maderia and her husband Roger of Malden. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Mary Gianino of Medford, Connie Rotondo, Rosie DiMartino both of Florida and the late Fannie Ferlito.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
