OBITUARY
Fitchburg
Eva Maria Hakala, 79, of 1199 John Fitch Highway, died Tuesday
September 22, at the Golden Living Center, after an illness.
Eva was born in Fitchburg, July 22, 1930, the daughter of Walfrit J. and
Hulda (Iltanen) Hakala. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1948.
Eva lived in Boston and Cambridge for many years and was employed as a
technical secretary at Massachusetts Institute of Technology for 20 years.
Upon retirement, Eva returned to Fitchburg. She attended Messiah
Lutheran Church. Eva leaves several nieces. Her brother Oiva Hakala
predeceased her.
A graveside service for Eva will be held on Monday October 5, at 10:00 A.M.
in Forest Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Bosk Funeral Home 85
Blossom St. is directing arrangements.
