Eleanor R. (Maines) Peckham Connolly, 79, of Assonet passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at home. She was wife of the late Thomas J. Peckham and the late Joseph P. Connolly.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor G. (Durfee) Maines, she had lived in Assonet since 2001. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, Class of 1948, she was a secretary for various colleges in the area. She was a former member of St. George Church, Westport. Mrs. Peckham Connolly loved music and played the organ and sang in many of the local churches.
Survivors include 2 sons: Barry T. Peckham of Dallas, TX and Shawn C. Peckham of Assonet; a daughter: Karen A. Brackett of Tyngsboro, MA; a sister: Thelma M. Sullivan of Westport; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Scott R. Peckham and sister of the late Charles H. Maines.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 10:00 - 12:00.
Funeral services will be private.
