Augustino “Gus” Cacicio, 64, of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness. Gus was self employed accountant, he also taught accounting at Fisher Jr. College in Boston.
Gus was raised and educated in Charlestown and continued his eduactaion at Bentley College in Waltham where he earned a accounting degree. A former member of the US Air Force reserve and was called to active duty during the Cuban Missle crisis.
He was better known as “Gus” to his many friends and throughly enjoyed playing golf and reading.
In addition to his wife Millie, he is survived by a brother Rocco Cacicio of Medford, a sister Lena Doherty of Charlestown and several loving nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Thursday, January 17, at 9 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford/Somerville at 10 AM. with the Rev. Dennis A. Dever officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Friends may visit Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. At the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
