DRACUT - Joan L. (Grant) Sawtelle Willrick, 75, of Tequesta, FL, died at her daughters home in Dracut on Monday afternoon September 21, 2009, following a battle with leukemia (AML). She was the wife of Wally Willrick Jr. of Tequesta, FL.
Born in Waterville, ME on October 8, 1933, She received her education in the Malden school system and was a graduate of Malden High School.
Joan was the former owner of the Wishing Well Gift Shop in North Reading and Tiki Pools which she operated from 1959-1976.
She looked forward to the birth of her first great grandchild Jake Jameson Armstrong in October.
In her free time she enjoyed swimming, golfing and cherished time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters Debra Brustas and her husband Chris of Dracut, Cheryl Aguilar and her husband Daniel of Stuart, FL, Linda Kossin and her husband Jurgen of Jensen Beach, FL; two stepdaughters Nancy Wakefield and her husband Bud of Jupiter, FL, Susan Bubla and her husband Jody of Hobe Sound, FL, five grandchildren Danielle Armstrong and her husband Lacy of Port St. Lucie, FL and Michael Begley of Portland, ME, Randy, Jay ad Holli Bubla of Hobe Sound, FL, brother-in-law Richard Sawtelle of Melrose.
She was the wife of the late Robert M. Sawtelle, daughter of the late James and Verna (Oviatt) Grant and grandmother of the late Robert M. Brooks.
It being her wish, funeral services will be private under the direction of DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Palm Beach Chapter 4360 Northlake Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410
