Marjorie J. Berger, a long time resident of Winchester, died peacefully on September 28, 2009 at the Aberjona Nursing Home. She was 94. Marjorie was the beloved wife of the late Vincent T. Berger, and mother of John S. Berger of Scarsdale, NY, Dorothy Wolfe of Silver Spring, MD, Marjorie R. Berger of Winchester, and the late Vincent T. Berger, Jr. She is survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Berger was born in Bridgeport, CT and received her BA in Education from Central Connecticut State University, and a M.A. in Education from Boston University. She was a 1st grade teacher at the former George Washington Elementary School in Winchester for fifteen years. Mrs. Berger was very active as a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Teacher Society, En Ka Society, Church Women United, Friends of the Winchester Hospital, The Winchester Home and Garden Club, and a honorary member of the Winchester Boat Club.
