Donald A. Maynard, 79, of Westport passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital. He was the husband of the late Pauline J. (Wrightington) Maynard.
Born in Fall River, son of the late William H. and Eva C. (Senay) Maynard, he had lived in Westport for the last 44 years. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a teacher in the Fall River School System. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport where he was a member of the Pastoral Council, member and past president of the church Senior’s Club and very active in its bingo. Mr. Maynard served on the Westport Housing Authority and was a member of the American Legion Post 145 of Westport and the Fall River Elks Club. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter: Donna-Marie Bolduc and her husband Robert of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren: Timothy Bolduc, Matthew Bolduc and Robert Bolduc, Jr.; a great grandson: Myles Bolduc; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late William, Edgar, Charles and Lawrence Maynard, Edna Maher, Clarisse Maynard and Rejane Gebo.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, October 1, 2009 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Out Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
