Marin Jonathan Lendosky-George
Marin Jonathan Lendosky-George died suddenly on September 18, 2009.He was an avid soccer player throughout his childhood, playing in Overlea, Parkville and White Marsh Youth Leagues. He played for several area club teams as well. He attended Glenmount Elementary/Middle School and was voted "Most Vaulable Player" on their winning soccer team. At Perry Hall High School he proved to be an asset to the team as her was high producing Varsity scorer in his last two yers. Upon graduation he chose to pursue the field of carpentry. On August 31, 2005 after and altercation at a local bar, he was shot in the back. From then until his death he led his life as a paraplegic. In the first year after his injury he attended the International Spinal Cord Center for rehabilitation but although Dr. Cristina Sadowsky and her rehabilitative staff were pleased with his strides, he never progressed up to his expectations. He spent time makin pens for his friends and watching television. In December 2008 he moved from his parents home in Perry Hall to his own apartment in Essex. There he learned how to deal with bureaucracy to obtain services to which he was entitled. For fun he ran 1/8 scale cars. He was planning on returning to physical therapy when he was killed in a burglary at his home. Marin is survived and mourned by his family; John George, Carole Lendosky, Megan George and Christopher, Connie and Zurianna George of Colorado, Aunt Eliabeth Herrman, her five children and their children and grandchildren, as well as many friends from many parts of Baltimore and the world.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 7:00p.m. at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 621 Old Fallston Road, Fallston, MD. (Directions: N. on Belair Rd., Left on 152, Mountain Rd, 1 mile to Connelly Rd Make a left). In lieu of flowers a contribution in Marin's name can be made to the Kennedy Krieger Foundation, 707 N.
