Sheila M. (O'Neil) Carter, a 12 year resident of Sanford, Maine and formerly of Charlestown, died suddenly on Wednesday September 23, 2009 in Sanford, Maine. She was 40 years old.
Sheila was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where she attended school and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1987. She worked for a few years at The Charlestown Life Focus Center. She later worked for 16 years at the payroll division of Boston Edison Company. Since moving to Maine, Sheila has been a purchaser for the A.V.X. Cantalum Corporation in Biddeford, Maine.
Sheila is the beloved wife of Carlos L. Carter. She is the devoted mother of Carlos "C.J." Carter Jr. She is the loving daughter of James A. and Linda A. (Ferullo) O'Neil of Maine. She is the beloved sister of Kelley O'Neil of Medford. She is the beloved grandaughter of Gloria Ferullo and the late Pat Ferullo and Peter and Mary Chiappa. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sheila's Funeral will be held on Wednesday September 30, 2009 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday September 29, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
