Obituary

Robert E. “Bob” Badger of Stoughton, passed away after a period of failing health on Thursday September 24, 2009 at the Copley of Stoughton. He was eighty – five years old.

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts on July 8, 1924, he was a son of the late Edward Badger and Edna A. ( Freeman ) McLaughlin. He resided in Brockton nearly his entire life, until recently moving to the Stoughton – Canton area.

Bob married Dorothy ( Hill ) on December 14, 1945.

He worked for many years as a welder at Bethlehem Steel at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, MA.

Bob became a Jehovah’s Witness in 1957 and was associated with the Bridgewater, Brockton and Stoughton congregations during the past 52 years.

He is survived by his wife of over 64 years Dorothy; his children, Edna A. Kilgrew and her husband Kerry of Stoughton, Robert W. Badger and his longtime companion Linda Moi of East Bridgewater, Melody Cleveland of Texas and Phillip N. Badger and his wife Denise of Illinois. He is also survived by his grand-daughter Meghan and numerous other grand- children. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, James E. Badger.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 3, 2009 at 2 P.M. in the Stoughton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 638 Pearl Street, Stoughton. Burial will be private.
