Margaret W. Strom, 72, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, September 26, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Monday, September 28, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Strom was born September 14, 1937 in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Otis E. and Sara Wallace Webber. She was a 1955 graduate of Karnes High School, Knoxville, TN. She has worked in medical offices in Tennessee and Kentucky, as well as for Roberts, Hammond and Jones in Fitzgerald. She was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol and First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin L. Strom, of Fitzgerald; son and daughter in law, Chip and Selena Strom of Douglas; grandsons, Caleb Harold and Jacob Wesley Strom of Douglas. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
