Elizabeth M. (Driscoll) Listro, 55, a life-long Danvers resident, died peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House while surrounded by her family after a courageous battle against cancer. She was the wife of Michael J. Listro, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Beverly on August 6, 1954, she was the daughter of Margaret (Mahoney) Driscoll of Danvers and the late Frederick D. Driscoll.
Elizabeth was raised and educated in Danvers. She had previously worked at Cedar Glen Nursing Home and Osram Sylvania on Sylvan Street in Danvers. For the last ten years, Liz worked as an administrative assistant for the Massachusetts State Police in Danvers. She was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish.
Liz always put everyone’s needs in front of her own. She was a loving, caring woman and will be deeply missed.
Besides her loving husband and mother, she leaves her son, Christopher M. Listro of Quincy, her daughter, Andrea M. Listro of Beverly, her siblings and their spouses, Brigid & Bruce Bolduc of Danvers, Eileen & Paul Martin of Rochdale, James & Martha Driscoll of Danvers, Margaret & Gary Keresey of Raymond, NH, Thomas Driscoll of West Bridgewater, Therese and Andrew Parsons of Bradford, Christopher and Sonia Driscoll of Seabrook, NH, and Frederick and Rachel Driscoll of Danvers, her parents-in-law, Michael and Angelina Listro of Danvers, her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Josephine and Dana Pommet of Florida and Manny Listro of NH, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Moira C. Evans, who died in August 2009.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
