CSM (Ret) William Kenneth May, 80, Clarksville, died Friday, September 25, 2009, at Spring Meadow Health Care Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Lytle Jones officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West with military honors. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service Monday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born June 13, 1929 in Connersville, KY son of the late John May and Sarah Davis May. He retired after thirty years with the US Army having been in the 82nd, 173 and 101st Airborn also retired from Civil Service. He was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ and the Sgt. Major Association. Survivors include his wife, JoElla McClain May, son, David May (Donna), Clarksville; a sister, Ruth Locker, Nicholasville, KY; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
