Jorge Carrera-Noritz, 51, of Londonderry, NH died Thursday morning September 24, 2009 at his home following a very brief illness. Mr. Carrera was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on May 18, 1958, son of Jorge and Laura Carrera. He graduated from the Univeridad Politecnica Nacional in Quito, Ecuador with a masters degree in Electronic Engineering. Mr. Carrera had resided in Londonderry for the past six years, formerly living in Texas and Ecuador. He was employed as a technical project manager for Alcatel-Lucent in Massachusetts. He was a devout communicant of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry.
He is survived by his wife, Gisella Lopez of Londonderry, three children, Frances Carrera, Emmanuel Carrera, and Jorge Ricardo Carrera all of Londonderry, his parents, Jorge and Laura Carrera of Quito, Ecuador, four brothers, Jaime and his wife Maria Augusta, Carlos and his wife Carmen, Mauricio and his wife Silvana, and Xavier and his wife Mary Frances, two sisters, Cecilia and her husband Hugo, and Myriam and her husband David, also 13 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Marcelo.
Calling hours were held on Sunday September 27, 2009 from 2 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, Londonderry with cremation following. Private inurnment will take place in Ecuador.
