Obituary

Hamilton: Carole A. (Buscaglia) LaMontagne died Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston following a courageous battle with NTM Nontuberculous Mycobacteria Disease. She was the wife of George R. LaMontagne, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.

Born and raised in West Side Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Amelia (Palermo) Buscaglia. Following her graduation from high school, Carole began working for United Air Lines in ticket reservations. She remained with United until 1987 when she decided to stay at home with her children. She was very family oriented. She then went to work for Delta Air Lines, for 8 years, until her illness forced her on to disability in 2002

She also loved to ride horses, skiing and gardening. Carole was an extraordinary support group leader for the NTM disease and never ran out of the desire to help hundreds of people across the country, suffering with this disease.

In addition to her husband George, she is survived by 2 daughters, Michelle A. LaMontagne of Winchester, Cara T. LaMontagne of Danvers, a son Michael G. LaMontagne of Hamilton, 2 brothers, Thomas Buscaglia of St. Charles, IL, Gerald Buscaglia of Phoenix AZ and also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 50 Union St., Hamilton. Visiting hours: Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery.
