Leila Hall Glenn, 85, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at her residence.
Graveside service will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2009, at Evergreen Cemetery with Ronald Reese officiating.
Mrs. Glenn was born July 10, 1924 in Irwin County to the late Arnie E. and Madgeline Puegh Hall. The last of eleven children, she lived in Fitzgerald most of her life. Mrs. Glenn was former owner/operator of the Side Door Restaurant, former employee of the Lee Grant Hotel, the Purple Duck and former manager of the Blue & Gray Restaurant. She attended Brushy Creek Primitive Baptist Church and the Church Of The Nazarene in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Glenn is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary & Janet Dunn of Fitzgerald, Darrell & Valerie Fincher of Ocala, Fl and Wayne Fincher of Fitzgerald; daughters, Martha Grubbs of Douglas and Ellen Ralph of Dunnellon, Florida; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, James C. Dunn and Neal Glenn, children, James Dunn, Jr., Billy Dunn and Joyce Reese and six grandchildren.
