Norbert P. Guenther,”Opa” 84, of 128A Mechanic Street died Saturday, Sept. 19 in the Governor’s Center, Westfield after an illness.
His wife Margarete A. (Wiegand) Guenther died in 1998. His Daughter Gisela Paradis died in 2006. He leaves his son-in-law George Paradis of Spencer, two granddaughters Susanna Sadusky and her husband James of Spencer, Christina Halbedel and her husband Kenneth of Spencer and four Great-Grandchildren.
Norbert was born in Frankfurt Main, Germany on January 19, 1925 son of Martin and Catherine Guenther. He came to the United States in 1959. He worked as a tool and die maker at Tupco in Auburn for many years before retiring in 1980. He loved watching the Red Sox. Now Oma and Opa are together again.
A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements.
