In Taunton, Mildred L. Murray, age 87, passed away in Morton Hospital after a brief illness. Mildred was born in Taunton to her late parents William H. & Marguerite S. (Dunham) Murray. She had lived in Taunton most of her life. Mildred was educated in Taunton schools, graduating from Taunton High School, later attending the R.N. program at former Union Hospital, attended Salve Regina College, received her B.A. in nursing from Boston College and later her masters degree from Boston University. Mildred was the director of nursing at Springfield Hospital, assistant director of nursing at Union Hospital in Fall River, assistant administrator at St. Joseph’s & Fatima Hospital in Providence, R.I. and administrator at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton. Mildred is survived by her sister Betty Boucher of North Dighton and her nephew William Boucher and great neice and nephew and loves of her life Holly & Michael Boucher. Also her cousins Richard and David Quigley of Marstons Mills, Russ Long of Norton and Mary Jane Murray of Las Vegas, Nevada. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Saturday, September 26th at 10am., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church in Taunton at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday from 6-8pm. Interment in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
