Emma F. (Alsheimer) Hasham, 93, on September 21st at home after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph A. Hasham. Emma was born and raised in Plymouth. In her teen years, she won many awards of achievement for her swimming and diving. In her early 20’s she worked for the Town of Plymouth recreation department at Stevens Field, where she taught swimming, diving and tennis lessons, along with arts and crafts. In the winter months she coached basketball at the old Plymouth High School. After her marriage in 1942, she moved to Brockton where she worked as a supervisor at the Hanover Fire Works during WWII. After the war, again as a supervisor, she worked at J.H Wood Elastic & Webb Co at the Brockton branch for many years. In 1950, she and Joe moved to White Horse Beach. Some of Emma’s many hobbies were knitting, crocheting, rug braiding and crossword puzzles. She leaves her daughter Margaret M. (Alsheimer-Hasham) Biancucci of Plymouth formerly of Medford, her sisters Agnes Nelson of RI and Mary “June” Euscher of Plymouth, her very dear and close friends, the “White Horse Beach Girls”. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Alfred P. and Evaline (Wall) Alsheimer and sister of the late Alberta E. “Al” Pellitier and Bernard C. Alsheimer. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) at 11 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 28th from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be private.
