Mr. Robert M. Marotte, of Raynham, died Monday, September 21 in the Tufts New England Medical Center, Boston, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Debra A. (Carnes) Marotte. He was born 52 years ago in Fall River, the son of the late Marcel A. and Alice Y. (Turcotte) Marotte. He was educated in Raynham, and was a member of the first graduating class of the Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School. Mr. Marotte was a lifelong Raynham resident. He was presently employed as a bus driver for Bloom’s Bus Lines of Taunton for 7 years. He was previously employed as a firefighter and E.M.T. for the Town of Raynham for 15 years. He had also
been employed as a driver for several area trucking companies. Mr. Marotte served in the 483rd Engineering Battalion of the U.S. Army Reserves in Taunton. He enjoyed playing cards, visiting Cape Cod, and helping people. He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham.

1 stepson: Jeffrey Stewart of Raynham
1 brother: Normand Marotte and his wife, Susan of Taunton
1 sister-in-law: Mary Hazen of Taunton
many nieces and nephews
Mr. Marotte was also the brother of the late Paul Marotte of Wales, Ma.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, September 25 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Church, Raynham, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Pleasant Street Cemetery,
Raynham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Ma., 01701-4688.
