Clarence `Shorty` Moore, 79, Clarksville went to be with Jesus and his wife, Sunday, September 20, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Dr. Karen Barrineau officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from noon until the hour of the service Thursday at the church. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born June 21, 1930 in Rensselaer, IN son of the late William Floyd Moore and Mary Lauretta Tangeman Moore. Mr. Moore was a heavy equipment operator and was retired from the Zinc Plant. He was a US Army veteran. He was an avid motorcyclist and also enjoyed building and piloting experimental aircraft. He was an active member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty one years, Frances Moore. Survivors include son, William Joe Moore (Donna) and daughter Ginger Wyrick (Gene) all of Clarksville; a sister Pat Kessler (Bill), New Paris, Ohio; five grandchildren, Chris (Janet), Jodi, Rachel, Logan and Cayla; and three great-grandchildren, Bailey, Caleb, and Aiden. Pallbearers will be Howard Farmer, Billy McPherson, Gracey Appleton, Don Priest, Logan Moore, and Chris Wyrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Jodi Moore, Rachel Wyrick, Cayla Wyrick, Janet Wyrick, Tracy Flair, Brad Ellis and the men of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
