Lyle H. Howard, 65, of Irwin County, Georgia died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Scott Brenton officiating.
Mr. Howard was born January 18, 1944 in Independence, Missouri to the late Ernest "Nate" and Olive Whitaker Howard. He graduated from Ruskin High School in Hickman Mills, MO and received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University and a MBA from Valdosta State University. Holding several patents, he was retired from Tetra Technologies where he was a chemical engineer and plant manager. He moved from West Memphis, Arkansas in 2007 and was a member of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Gene’ M. Howard of Irwin County; Children: Rebecca H. and Russell Davis of Dahlonega, GA, Jim and Chanta Howard of Leesburg, GA, Larry and Lori Howard of Willacoochee, GA, and Leigh and Kris Nickens of Atlanta, GA; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: John (Marva) Howard of Clarksdale, MD and Lynn (Suzanne) Howard of Mendenham, NJ.
