Phillip Wayne Settle, 58, who was saved by grace, went home to be with his Lord, Saturday, September 19, 2009. Born in Louisville, he was the son of Margarete and the late James E. Settle. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Little Phil. He is survived by his beloved mother, the former Margarete Maloney; his children, J.D., Aaron and Travis Settle; brothers, James, Larry, Garry and Roger Settle; a sister, Elaine Hollingsworth; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 9pm Sunday, 9 am to 9 pm Monday and from 9 am Tuesday until the time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hosparus of Louisville.
