Caroline (Olech) Gurski 96, formerly of North Smithfeld, died Saturday in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Michael Gurski. Mrs. Gurski was born in Cumberland a daughter of the late Joseph and Michaline (Aczkiewicz) Olech. She was a textile worker for thirty five years for the former Branch River Wool Combing Mill in North Smithfield. Mrs. Gurski enjoyed crocheting quilts and personal articles for family and friends, and especially enjoyed spending with her family. She is survived by three children; Thomas Gurski and his wife Christine of Milton FL, Constance Breton and her husband Roger of Clifton Park, NY, Dorothy Stothard of Woonsocket, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, a brother Stanley Olech of North Smithfield, and two sisters, Bertha Julevich of Woonsocket, and Frances Seminski of Greenville. She was also the sister of the late Anthony Olech. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30AM from the Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Blackstone, MA. Visiting hours will be Monday 4-6PM.
