Marguerite L. Lemieux, 90, formerly of Desmarais St., Cumberland, died Saturday at The Holiday in Manville. She was the wife of the late Albert L. “Noisy” Lemieux.
Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emelda (Parenteau) Lemoine. She was raised in Manville and resided for many years in Cumberland. She also lived in Florida for several years while her husband was in the service.
Mrs. Lemieux worked for Miller Electric for over 18 years before retiring in 1981. She previously worked at the Manville Jenckes Mill.
Marguerite enjoyed bingo and was dedicated to her extended family. She provided loving care for her late husband Noisy over the many years he endured health problems.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. She was the sister of the late Donat, Joseph, and Amherst Lemoine, Florina Cotnoir, Blanche Dumaine, and Cecile Lussier.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Menard Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning from 8:45-9:45 am prior to Mass.
