Fort Worth, TX- Mildred I. (Seuss) Schubert, 87, a former resident of Methuen, died Sunday September 13, 2009 at the James L. West Community Hospice House in Fort Worth, TX.
Born in Lawrence on December 27, 1921, Mildred was the daughter of George and Hattie (Eichner) Seuss. Mildred was a graduate of Methuen High School class of 1939.
For 15 years Mildred worked as a documentation specialist for Raytheon.
Mildred was a former member of 1st Church Congregational of Methuen, the Women’s Club, Friendly Seniors Club of Lawrence, and the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Society. Mildred was an accomplished pianist and also taught piano lessons throughout the Merrimack Valley.
The widow of the late Earl Schubert with whom she shared 48 years of marriage, Mildred is survived by her daughter Virginia and her husband Robert G. Drever of Belleview, WA, son, Earl and his wife Kathryn Schubert of Saginaw, TX as well as 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one nephew.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday morning, September 26th, from 9:30-10:30 with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:30 AM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St., Methuen with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
