Nina Lizza, 87, of Londonderry, NH, died Thursday, September 17, 2009 in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Mrs. Lizza was born in Newton, MA on January 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Alex and Mary Grinuk. She was a resident of Londonderry since 1993, formerly living in Ridgefield, CT, and part time in Osterville, MA. Mrs. Lizza had been employed as a realtor for Trinity Real Estate in Ridgefield, CT. She enjoyed artistic painting, and was an avid seamstress who made a lot of her own clothes.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Frank Lizza of Londonderry; her son, Jay Lizza of Londonderry; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Lizza.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, September 22nd at 10:00am in the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH. A graveside service was held on Wednesday at 11:30am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
