Obituary

Norman M. “Mike” Droege, 77 of Barefoot Bay, FL, peacefully passed away Wednesday surrounded by his family in the E. N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, MA.

Born in Aberdeen, Washington, he lived in Barefoot Bay, FL since 1992 and was formerly of Medford. He was the son of the late Irene (Fanbshier) and Norman H. Droege. Mike was a Social Worker with the Mystic Valley Elder Services for 4 years and retired in 1992. He served our country for 20 years as a U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force veteran serving during the Korean, and Vietnam Wars. His most important project was instilling caring family and community values in his children and grandchildren. Mike also was a member of the VFW.

Beloved husband of 48 years to Anne (Meaney) Droege. Devoted father of Anne Ronan and her husband James of Londonderry, NH, Patti Napolitano and her husband, Michael of Billerica, Kathy Luongo and her husband Tim of Wakefield, David Droege and his companion Lety Estrada of Ft. Worth, TX. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 2 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Jerry Droege of North Carolina.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
