William “Billy” Gould, age 65, of Salem, NH, passed away Friday at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after a long battle with heart disease.
He was a Fine Father and Good Husband. Born in Methuen, MA and educated in Salem, NH where he lived for most of his life except for a short time when he lived in Wildwood, FL.
He graduated from Woodbury High in Salem where he was a football and track star. He loved all sports and especially enjoyed fishing whenever he had the chance. Billy loved to play 45’s at the Salem VFW on Wednesday nights and with his family on Saturday nights. He was a giving person, very sociable and outgoing.
A mechanic by trade, he worked at Gibson Motors in Lawrence, MA. He was always trying to help someone fix something.

Daughter: Alice & her husband John Bartose of Salem, NH
Sisters: Liz Tokanel of Windham, NH Darlene Freji of Methuen, MA
Brothers: Kenny Gould of Somersworth, NH Jamie Gould of Derry, NH And the late Marshall Glenn Gould.
8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his faithful pet dachshund Spike. He was loved and will be missed. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the SICU staff at the Catholic Medical Center for helping make his last days comfortable.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by cremation.
