Maria J. Silveira, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away suddenly on September 8 during a visit to her native home in Flores, Azores, Portugal. She was the wife of 67 years of Antonio Silveira. Mrs. Silveira immigrated to Stoughton in 1970.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Maria Escilia Baldes and her husband Norberto and Maria Silveira Freitas and her husband Antonio all of Stoughton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lucy Murphy, Nancy Reynolds and Susan Freitas and her great-grandchildren, Olivia and Elizabeth Murphy and Anthony Reynolds. She was the sister Luiza Henriques of Stoughton.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 19 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
