SHREWSBURY__Patricia F. (Ashcraft) Chagnon, 63, of 85 Commons Dr., died Wednesday August 13 in UMASS – Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, 119 Belmont St., Worcester.
She leaves three sons, Ronald Chagnon, II of Winchendon; Patrick Chagnon of Worcester and Roger Chagnon of Braintree; two daughters, Dolores Chagnon of Worcester and Mary San Nicholas of California; a brother, Raymond C. Ashcraft and a sister, Frances A. Porter both of Fontana, Ca., her longtime companion, Betty J. Neilson of Shrewsbury; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. A daughter, Desiree Westberg, of Worcester died June 20. She was born in Long Beach, Ca., daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth F. (Clark) Ashcraft and later lived in Worcester. She has resided in Shrewbury for 14 years.
Ms. Chagnon was a certified nurses aide many years and worked at St. Francis Home before retiring 15 years ago. She was a member of the Shrewsbury Senior Center.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 20 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Johns Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Tuesday August 19 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Assumption, 237 Millbury St., Worcester, 01610.
