Willie Everette Cox, 74, of Summerville, husband of Rhoda Myers Cox died Tuesday morning, September 15, 2009 at Life Care Center of Charleston.
Funeral service will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville.
Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 6 until 8 o’clock Thursday evening.

Mr. Cox was born November 14, 1934 in Pamplico, South Carolina, son of the late William Fulton Cox and Mildred Poston Cox. He was a graduate of Johnsonville High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a machinist with Wellman Inc. He was a member of Johnsonville First Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:
1 son: Vincent E. Cox and his wife Ann of Trevilians, Virginia
1 daughter: Crystal Cox Crocker and her husband Rev. Michael E Crocker of Summerville
3 grandchildren: Toby and Tabby Cox both of Trevilians, Virginia and Haley Crocker of Summerville.
2 brothers: Wylie Gene Cox of Scranton, SC and W.F. Cox of Pamplico, SC.
He was predeceased by his sister and brother: Murphy C. Hearne and Wayne Cox.
