STOLTZ, WILLIAM C. "BILL," 79, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
He retired after 35 years from B.F. Goodrich and was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church. He was a past Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus where he was an active force in the starting of the Dismas House. He was an alumni of Flaget and an Air Force veteran. He played baseball for Flaget as well as the Air Force and was also on the World Champion St. Polycarp softball team.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis (Fuller) Stoltz; his children, Twyla Gollar (Brian), Robin Milliner (Keith), Mike Stoltz (Terri), Timmy Stoltz (Susan) and Kevin Stoltz (Deedee); brothers, Robert, Dallas, Charlie and Ronnie Stoltz; sisters, Mary Madden, Nancy Franklin, Sandy Doss, Linda Payne and Gail Singleton; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
His service will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter the Apostle (St. Polycarp campus), 7718 Columbine Dr., with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
