In Taunton, Sept. 11, 2009 Peter R. Bergeron Sr., age 68, passed away at home after a brief illness while surrounded by his family. Peter was the husband of the late Eileen (Arruda) Bergeron. He was born in Fall River to his late parents Emile F. Bergeron & Louise (Ronan) Bergeron. He has lived most of his life in Taunton. Attended Fall River schools and later served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Peter was the branch manager for the former First Bristol County National Bank in Taunton. He was also employed as a Motor Coach driver for G&W. Bus Co. Peter loved being with his family & friends, especially being a grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Sheila Bergeron of Taunton and son Peter Bergeron Jr. of VA. The loving grandfather of Jennifer Bergeron of Taunton, Brittany Bergeron of Taunton, Peter Bergeron III and November Bergeron both of VA. Peter is survived by his twin brother Paul Bergeron of Saugus,his sisters Judith O'Connell of Fall River, Elizabeth McMann of Fort Lauderdale, FL. and his twin brothers Michael Bergeron of Torrence, CA. and the late David Bergeron and also his late sister Joan Ohrn. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Weds., Sept. 16th at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tues. from 4-7pm. Interment is private at the request of the family.
