Manchester– Julia N. Stevens Landry, 89, died September 11, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a brief illness.
She was born in Candia on December 29, 1919 the daughter of Joseph and Mary Lazar.
Prior to her retirement she had worked 22 years for Arms Textile and 15 years for Osram Sylvania.
She was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Church. She had been a past member of the Seniors of Auburn and the TTK.
She loved gardening and traveling. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were most dear to her.
She was predeceased by her first husband Emile Stevens on October 5, 1958, and her second husband Ross Landry in April of 1998.
Family members include one daughter Sandra Comire of Manchester, one son Stanley Stevens of Candia, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one sister Mary Divenuti of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: Calling hours will be on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in St. Hedwig Church, corner of Beech and Orange Sts.
Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Derry.
