Estelle Beatrice Box, age 88, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at Yalobusha Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. Born May 22, 1921 in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of Thomas Jefferson Holt and Ollie Harriet Hollinger Holt. She was a retired manager of the Manor Apartments in Water Valley, and is remembered as having a true servant’s heart. She especially enjoyed nature, and beautiful flowers and birds were her favorites. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS
Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Bro. Dan Dickerson will conduct the 11:00 A.M. funeral service on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery with Charles Heath, Billy Stark, Larry Gray, Dale Jennings, Curtis Dennis, and Drew Kirk serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include four daughters, Patsy Miller of Banner, MS, Alice Faye Decker of Oxford, MS, Wanda Sue Hughes of Water Valley, MS and Trudy Kaye Story of Water Valley, MS; one son, Anthony Box of Water Valley, MS; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Barley Box, a son, Hubert Box, a sister, Irene House, and a brother, T. J. Holt.
