Albert N. Wong, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away suddenly at his home on thrusday morning. The husband of the late Elsie Wong, who died twelve years ago, he was eighty-four years old.
Born in Dedham he was raised in Bangor, Maine, the son of the late Grace and Quoy Wong. Mr. Wong was a retired electrical engineer, a World War II, US Army Veteran, who received the purple heart, and participated in campaigns in Rhineland, Normandy, Ardennes, and Northern France. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are his two daughters, Vivian Wong and her husband David of Windsor Locks, CT., Alberta Wong-Marshall and her husband Jeff of Brookline. His cherished granddaughter Veronica Lin Wong. Three brothers; Charles Wong of Bangor, Maine, Walter Wong of Boston and Richard Wong of Canton, CT. In addition to his wife Elsie he is predeceased by his two sisters; Grace Goldstein and Helen Huang.
His funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasasnt St. Woburn, on Tuesday, August 19, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 11. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
