Methuen, MA – Rudolph J. “Pete” Michaud, 84, died Thursday September 10, 2009 at Mary Immaculate Nursing & Restorative Center in Lawrence after a brief illness surrounded by his family.
Born in Lawrence September 26, 1924 he was the son of David and Helena (Ouelette) Michaud.
Before his retirement Mr. Michaud had been employed with Watts Regulator & B.G. Peck both of Lawrence.
Pete as he was known was an active communicant of Saint Monica’s Church and a graduate of Saint Theresa’s High School, both of Methuen and was a member of Methuen Council # 4027 Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed playing golf, spending time at his beach house at Seabrook Beach, and woodworking at which he was very prolific. He especially enjoyed attending daily Mass, and breakfast with his fellow communicants.
Pete was the widower of Margaret D. (McNally) Michaud and is survived by sisters, Claire Allatt, Muriel and husband Paul Jukins, and Evelyn Chagnon.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a father figure to nephew Paul Sharrock and his wife Maureen, MaryAnne MacLean and her husband George, Margaret DeMaria and her husband Edward, and Kathleen Francisco, and her husband Raymond; and several great and grand nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church with burial to follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Rudolph’s name may be made to Saint Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844.
