Wayland: Edward Hagen Borgeson, 63, died in the comfort of his family at his residence in Wayland on September 9, 2009.
He was born on August 31, 1946 in Brockton the son of the late Olaf H. and Gladys H. (Josephson) Borgeson.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife Trudy C. (Hood) Borgeson of Wayland. He was the loving father of Eric H. and his wife Melissa and their children Rebecca, Evan and Caroline all of Charlton, Brian A. of Nantucket and Ross E. and his wife Shannon and their daughter Amelia all of Overland Park, Kansas. He is also survived by his brothers Richard Borgeson and his wife Rita of Portsmouth, RI and Arthur Borgeson and his wife Candace of Hanson and many nieces and nephews. Brother of the Late George Borgeson.
Ed has been a resident of Wayland for over 36 years and previously resided in Whitman. HE graduated from Whitman Hanson High School with the Class of 1964 and received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1968. He had a career of over 40 years as an Electrical Engineer for the Raytheon Company until his recent retirement. He was a member of NEMES of Waltham. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family especially with his cherished grandchildren. He was an Eagle Scout and for many years was a Cub Scout Leader and Scout Master for his sons with Wayland Pack II Troop 8.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
At the request of his family funeral service and interment will be private.
