METHUEN: Frances A. (Currier) Daggett, age 92, a resident of Methuen, formerly of Plaistow, NH and Reading, Mass, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Wingate of Lowell.
She was the wife of the late Earle W. Daggett, who passed away in 2000.
Born in Plaistow, NH on November 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Lester A. and Alice M. (Warner) Currier.
Frances was raised in Plaistow, NH. She attended Haverhill, MA schools and graduated from Haverhill High School.
Following graduation, she attended and later graduated from MacIntosh Business College.
Frances and her late husband Earle, operated a C.P.A. Accounting firm in Reading for 40 years until retiring to Florida.
In 1946, she moved to Reading, Mass, where she lived for 20 years until moving to North Reading.
Mrs. Daggett enjoyed spending the winter months in Ft. Myers, FL and the summer months at her cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee. Most recently, she had been a resident of the Pines of Tewksbury. Frances enjoyed playing bridge, walking, biking and watching soap operas.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. Baxter and her husband Andrew of Methuen; four grandchildren, Robin B. Baxter of Salem, NH, Julie B. Heatherly and her husband Jared of Somerset, Joy B. Baxter of Minneapolis, MN and Faith A. Baxter Mangum and her husband Joseph of Londonderry, NH; one great granddaughter, Trisha Heatherly of Somerset; one brother, Lester A. Currier of Ossipee, NH .
Mrs. Daggett was the sister of the late Marion Smith.
At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Friday, September 11th at 1:30 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery, Bradford, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472 are suggested.
