In Taunton, Sept. 4, 2009 Richard E. Rodier Sr., age 91 passed away in Morton Hospital after a period of failing health. Richard was the husband of the Phyllis (Johnson) Rodier. He was born in Taunton to his late parents Victor & Excellena (Demers) Rodier. He was formerly of Bear Foot Bay in FL. and also Yarmouth on Cape Cod. Richard served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He also was the former owner of Hi-Land Machine Co. on Bay St. in Taunton. He was a member of the Elk’s, an avid golfer and enjoyed playing tennis. Richard leaves his sons Richard E. Rodier Jr. of Taunton and Robert E. Rodier of Raynham. His sisters Debra A. Brown of Raynham, Jeanette Mederois of MI. and the late Edna Rheaume. His grandchildren Richard E. Rodier III of Sebastian, FL., Keith Rodier of Norton, Maria Muller of Taunton, Norman W. Brown of Berkley, Jennifer Lounsbury of Brockton, Meagan Correira of Bourne and Erin Lewis of Fall River and also several great grandchilden. Funeral from the O’Keefe-wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. in Taunton on Friday, Sept. 11th at 10am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thurs. from 6-8pm. Interment in the family lot in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
