Mrs. Sophie J. Sebastyn, age 93, died friday evening in Lawrence at the Lawrence General Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Boston, Sophie was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine (Wielacjkiewicz) & Francis Jankowski.
Sophie was a Medford resident for the last 28 years, formerly of Dorchester. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and all kinds of krafts. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family especially her grandchildren.
Sophie was the beloved wife of the late Stanley M. Sebastyn. Devoted mother of Janice Lambert of Tewksbury, her late husband Larry Lambert, Michael Sebastyn of Fairfax, VA and his wife Lynda. Loving grandmother of Matthew Lambert, Stephanie Sebastyn and Lindsey Sebastyn. Sister of the late Wanda Wencek, Edmund Jankowski and Rudy Jankowski. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St. Wilmington, Thursday at 10:30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. William Church, 1351 Main St. Tewksbury at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
