TAUNTON – Mary Jo (Reis) Martin, wife of the late John Martin, died at her home unexpectedly on Sept. 2, 2009.
She was 83.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the lat William and Marcelena (DaCosta) Reis.
She moved to this area in 1963.
An inspector employed by Reed & Barton Silversmiths for many years, Mrs. Martin retired at the age of 62.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
Survivors include a son, Carlos J. Martin of Taunton, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Tuesday, Sept. 8th at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 7th from 4 to 7 p.m.
