Rose Mary (Mercurio) Conley, a resident of Medford for more than 60 years and beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Conley, died at her home on Wednesday, September 2, 2009. She was years old.
Born in East Boston, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Louis and Mary (DeLuigi) Mercurio. Rose was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Medford for many years. She enjoyed fashion, always well dressed with beautiful hats. She loved buying and selling homes and decorating them her beloved antiques. She will be sorely missed by one daughter; Rosemary Tarasewicz of Medford, three sons and two daughters-in-law; Richard J. and his wife Kristine M. Conley and David V. Conley, all of Medford and Thomas L. and his wife Deborah L. Conley of Pekin, Illinois, seven grandchildren; Mary Jo, Jennifer, Sarah, John, Katherine, Daniel and James, four great-grandchildren; Sabrina, Madisyn, Byron and Ian. She was also the sister of Antonio Mercurio of Stoneham. Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday, September 7, 2009, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Sunday, September 6, 2009, from 4 to 7 PM. Interment was private.
