Donald P. Leonard, 62, of Claremont, NH died Wednesday September 2, 2009 in the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH. Mr. Leonard was born in Manchester, NH on October 24, 1946 son of the late Peter and Alice (Levesque) Leonard. He was raised and educated in the Manchester area. Mr. Leonard had resided in Claremont since 1988 formerly living in Milford, NH. He was a member of the National Federation of the Blind.
He is survived by three sons, Daniel S. Leonard and Michael G. Leonard both of Manchester, Gregg J. Leonard of Olympia, WA, one granddaughter, Alyssa Baker-Leonard of Olympia, WA, also several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH is handling arrangements.
